Kate Stephenson

Songwriter and musician Kate Stephenson has provided vocal sessions for a variety of well-known artists (the highlight being a Gala Benefit Concert with Queen, Eric Clapton and Phil Collins, which included singing ‘Comfortably Numb’ with Dave Gilmour and Pink Floyd).

She toured America with Midge Ure as percussionist/vocalist/guitarist. Midge and Kate also collaborated on songs for his album ‘Pure’.

She later played drums and sang backing vocals for Sam Browns’ Silvery Moon Band featuring legendary bass player Herbie Flowers.

Kate was recruited as drummer by Honeycrack, supporting Alanis Morissette on a European tour, followed by a spell drumming for Marcella Detroit.

After a break to establish a successful career in television, Kate is now concentrating on her songwriting and is currently playing drums with Martin Stephenson and The Daintees, and Jackdaw 4.

KateĀ  is currently co-writing with Martin Sutton (Celine Dion, Gary Barlow, Olivia Newton John).
