“We give great metrosexual head, musically speaking. We are creamier than a gay cow and hot enough to melt Madonna's confessional glitterballs.” – Anthony, PALEDAY.
Don’t you miss the breezy days when summery relaxation seemed to last all year, when fashions were a tad more extravagant and pop songs were undeniably infectious and uplifting? How about when you could dance at gigs with happy, music-mad, smiling people rather than moshing along with pale-skinned emos and drainpipe wearing trendsetters? Sigh.
Well you’re in luck, here comes a proper band with tunes so hummable it hurts! Grab your hottie and swing em round your well-clad hips, slip on your shades and prepare to look fierce.
In an age where the beauty of a catchy pop melody can sometimes get lost amongst the desperation to break boundaries, Paleday emerge with all the pop-lusting confidence of a late-90s George Michael and are as proud and flamboyant as a leather-trouser wearing, well-hung peacock. Slam the Bee Gees in a bowl, throw in a twist of Mika and sprinkle a little of the Scissor Sisters spice and bake until the tunes are smoking, whip it out of the oven and serve up six slices of PALEDAY!
Now to choose a slice, will you pick Anthony, the flirt who can do unmentionable things with a feather boa, or maybe Stephen, the photogenic wit of the bunch. How about glamorous Sam with his intoxicating stare? There’s the lean and not-so-mean Steve. Or maybe you prefer baby of the bunch Alex who is just plain hot, or party man Phil who leaves a trail of swooning fans wherever he roams. Who would you want to dance up close and personal with?
Here, in their expressive clothing, or lack of(!!), stand proper entertainers determined to cheer you up, get your bum wiggling and put on a great show. The boys have worked with McFly, Diana Ross and Culture Club, to name but a few and it certainly doesn’t hurt that they all more than a little bit buff.
Love it or hate it? Bitch or kitsch? What do the press have to say?
